So I was at the game yesterday enjoying our Padres 2-0 lead. Typical turnout for a day game; maybe 15k? Anyway, I was sitting in right field when Matt Carpenter ripped a 2 run bomb 445ft into a few rows ahead of me. I skipped in through 3 rows of seats like the agile gazelle that I am and got my first major league ball. Immediately as I grabbed the ball i inspected it for a second and wound up to throw it back, aiming way left of Will Venable because heaven forbid his .360 avg with RISP gets taken out of our line-up. As i wind up, the right field locals (the short dude, the semi dark dude with glasses and that Filipino security guy) all threw their hands up and yelled at me not to throw it back. Someone yelled at me to give it to a kid and security threatened to throw me out if i did it. Their first reaction was as if i had a bomb detonator in my hand. Their following reaction was so full of hate. They were like a mob with torches and pitchforks.

So I ask you fellow ballers, was I being a dick trying to throw it back or were they just robbing me of a dream? There's video on MLB.com :p
