Ron Mexico is not moving into Dex's basement!

I know that Dex is probably thrilled, even thought I am not sure that he knew the plan. Flashback to before the season, I was getting a bunch of smack-talk from some non-believers, Dodger fans and general other d-baggeries. I defended my faith that the Padres were not the worse team in baseball....

Honestly I didn't think the Padres were going to be a *great* team, but I did think they were within 3 or 4 games of being a .500, and with some good performances and good luck we may even contend for the NL West Division crown (then ride the rainbow to an undefeated post season and flags being raised over the downtown ballpark.).

Anyways, these nay-sayers were saying the "The Padres are the WORST." so a few bets started. Basically I placed multiple wagers with folks that the Padres would win 63+ games. A few bets turned into many. As some of you may have repressed from you memories, i will remind you that things were not going well in April and early May. In fact, with all the injuries, bad play and one of the worst MIs I can remember (disclaimer, I was actually excited when we signed O-Dog and traded for Bartlett. I remember thinking that we could actually be better with a longer lineup even with losing A-Gon....). My creditors all gave me a chance to buyout my bets, but pride and faith in my team would not allow me and I actually double-down.

This led me to actually worried, as I was starting to believe that if by some one in a milliion chance the Padres would actually lose 100 games, I probably wouldn't have a place to live. And since I made a bet with pretty much every family and friend I knew on the Padres, I didn't want to raise my kids in a home of non-Padre believers. That is when I made the arrangement with Dex that my family would move in if the unforeseeable would happen. (I may have actually 'forgotten' to get an agreement with Dex, but I am sure it would have worked out).

Now with only 1 more win needed to secure the wagers, looks like we can root for the 2013 World Series Champs in the comfort of our current home!
