"Oh hey, Phil. Congratulations on buying that podunk team in the suburbs of greater Los Angeles." "Stay classy, b_tch."
In today's edition of "let's take a quote out of context so I can be angry", let's see what Tiger Woods said recently about Phil Mickelson owning the Padres:
"Absolutely," Tiger Woods said when asked if he’d be interested in owning one of his favorite teams. "I just need a lot more money. My teams are the Lakers, Dodgers, and the Raiders, so I’ve got to play really well."
So here are the reasons why I hate Tiger Woods now...
- Dodger Fan
- Raider Fan
- Doesn't think Lefty needs to play really well to own the Padres
- Thinks he could afford the Padres right now with his pile of gold, but couldn't afford his c_ck punk teams
Tiger Woods thinks he can get away with saying that sort of thing? I THINK NOT. We all know what he means. If he's really a Dodger Fan, then he totally knows that he's calling out Phil Mickelson. He totally knows what he's implying when he says that you'd need more money and be better to own his favorite team as opposed to the Padres.
"Oh? The Padres consider the Dodgers a rival? Growing up Dodger Fan, I always knew our rivals to be the Giants. Just like I don't consider Phil a rival. It's cute that he golfs left handed and all, but it's sooooo gimmicky."
In a way, I'm glad Tiger did this. I've been wanting more reasons to root against him and fully be a part of the Tiger Woods backlash even though I don't watch golf. This adds fuel to my unreasonable fire.
