Today I have some bobbleheads that I actually like. Although, they are still the sort of thing that just sits on a shelf and isn't functional. I typically prefer if my merch has a useful purpose.
There's a plastic part around the front of the thing that is both reflective and yellowing. In any case, you can still read that these are "Magnetic Mini Bobs". Today was actually my first time ever opening this thing up. I don't even think I ever noticed it mentioned magnets. Effin' magnets, how do they work? Also note that this was not a giveaway item; somebody bought it for me. There's a price tag on the plastic somewhere that says $24.99 but I'll assume it was bought on sale.
What's this on the back? Remove metal plate? Place on wall for display?
Well, here's the metal plate. It's about the size of a motorcycle license plate. Odd.
Turns out, the bobbleheads have some magnets on the back. I guess you hang the plate in your house and stick the bobbleheads to it. A pretty weird presentation; I would expect most people to just leave it in the package like I have.
From the players and the uniforms, I'm going to guess this is from somewhere between 2001-2003.
