The Braves beat the Padres last night by a score of 2-0. Short story short, Andrew Werner was out dueled by Kris Medien.
To start the scoring Chipper Jones doubled in a run off the center field wall in the first. In the 5th Dan Uggla collected his 1000th hit on a home run off one of Andrew Werner's best hanging curves. Uggla's ball was hit off the side of the Frazee paint can in left field.
If you're wondering what the Giant Frazee paint can is doing in left field, or how many baseballs would fit into the paint can then wonder no more. If a Padres player hits a ball into the paint can then Frazee will donate $500,000 to The Padres Foundation or to the player's charity of choice.
However, if an opposing player hits the ball into the paint can then he lured inside to retrieve his ball then left there in paint can prison and put on a strict diet of discarded Cracker Jacks. Uggla was lucky he didn't get any more lift on the ball.
We got to peak inside the paint can from up in the Western Metal Supply Building at the Padres Social Media Night. It was a sight to behold.
