The 6th inning made the difference for the Padres. Chase Headley singled, Yonder Alonso singled, and Cameron Maybin singled to load the bases Then John Baker who had scored earlier on a Will Venable double came to the plate. He singled too to score 2 runs. Hits galore! People will tell you it's defense that wins baseball games, but they're wrong, always have been. It's the offense, son. Holla!
The Padres finally get their 20th win and sit an .333 winning percentage. Now only the Cubs have failed to earn 20 wins.
