Well, that wasn't one of the better ones. It still looked hopeful when I took a little nap after Everth Cabrera's game-tying inside-the-parker in the third. Things weren't so bright when I woke up in the eighth; Milwaukee had taken a 9-3 lead. Come to find out, their catcher Martin Maldonado hit a three run shot in the fourth and butt of stale jokes Corey Hart hit his second homer of the game in the fifth and young Brewer Taylor Green also went yard in the seventh. The Padres scratched together two runs in the top of the ninth when Nick Hundley and Everth scored on Logan Forsythe's second triple of the year but you know the story: day late, dollar short.

Bright spots and roll call after the jump.
