Tonight at 7:05pm our TuPads play the first game of a four game set at home against the Reno Aces. The Friars are looking to add to a two game winning streak which was paused by a travel day yesterday. Houston-born right-hander Bear Bay will be making his fourth start for the club and, if things go as planned, picking up his first win. In three starts and five relief appearances Bay is 0-2 with a less-than-reassuring 7.23 ERA. He's set to turn the corner and tonight is as good of a night as any.
Taking the hill for the first-place Aces will be 6'3" righty Barry Enright. Arizona's second round pick out of Pepperdine in '07, Enright saw action with the D-Bags in 2010 and last season, generally stinking up the house. He hasn't done a good enough job to get the call up so far this season so we've got that going for us.
For those who are planning on heading out to the game, which I estimate will be approximately zero of us, bring a driver and your drinkin' shoes. Tonight is Thirsty Thursday at Kino Veterans Memorial Stadium. 16 oz. beers cost a mere $1.50 and other drink discounts will be available as well. For those who aren't going, grab a Stone or a bottle of water and settle in for a Tucson win. Go Padres!
