Last night's win was kinda cool I guess. It involved a couple of Carlos Quentin home runs, the best defensive play I've seen all year, and a walkoff home run by Logan Forsythe. So, you know, nothing too exciting.
Our Padres will try to take the momentum from last night and keep it rolling today. Clayton Richard will toe the rubber, coming off a good outing against the Diamondbacks where he worked 6 2/3 innings and gave up just one earned run on seven hits. He has pitched well at home this season, especially compared to his road starts, so hopefully he can continue that trend and keep the Giants off the board today.
The Giants will send out their own lefty to pitch opposite Richard. Madison Bumgarner is coming one of his best games. He gave up two runs on eight hits while striking out eleven and issuing no walks in eight strong innings against the Cubs. He'll try to have a similar performance against this Padres team that was swept by those Cubs and is 3-11 in its last 14 games.

Let's hope our boys can stop the trend from the last two series and win more than just the first game.
GO FRIARS!! KEEP THE FAITH!!
