Eric Stults will make the start for our Padres today in the rubber match against the Diamondbacks. In his last start he gave up four runs on seven hits in 6.1 innings and took the loss. He'll be looking to his offense to provide him some run support today. Will Venable has hit .311 over his last 23 starts. Also, Carlos Quentin has just been on fire since coming off the DL.

Hometown boy Trevor Cahill will take the mound for Arizona. He has been winless since May 1st and gave up four runs in the first two innings in his last start before settling down and pitching four scoreless against the Giants. He'll be trying to impress in this start in front of what I'm sure will be lots of family and friends from San Diego.

Let's hope our boys can come through today and pull off the series win to help take more of the sting away from that last road trip.

GO FRIARS!! KEEP THE FAITH!!
