The Padres were in the game until the 6th. Well they were in it as much as a team can be that doesn't score. Then in the bottom of the 6th the Rockies started getting a little antsy, what with the score being so close. So they sent some shady clubhouse attendants down to grab some baseballs that didn't get the ol' humidor treatment. Suddenly as if by cheating magic they score 8 runs.over the next 3 innings. They really pulled out all the stops tonight. It was obvious they wanted this win more.
When last we checked the Worst Padres Team Ever Standings the 2012 Pads were two games behind. In the last 8 games they were able to pull ahead by a game. The inaugural team had a tough stretch, only winning once. It remains a tight race.
