"They tried to make me go to rehab; I said Reno-no-no..."

Today is one of those awesome days where none of the minor league games overlap with the big club's. It's also one of those rare days when I'm actually doing stuff so this will be brief. I'll be home to catch the TuPads game, though.

San Antonio Missions @ Midland RockHounds, 5:00pm: Organizational cannon fodder Josh Geer takes the mound for the 25-41 Mish. He's 1-2 with a 6.59 ERA so far.

Fort Wayne Tin Caps @ Bowling Green Hot Rods, 5:05pm: Twenty year old righty Ruben Mejia looks to add another win to his 1-1 record and lower his 4.85 ERA. He averages one strikeout an inning.

Eugene Emeralds h/v Yakima Bears, 7:05pm: Non-prospect Will Scott will be the Ems' starting pitcher. This is his first start this year; he made two relief appearances for Tucson and got rocked for six earnies in 3 2/3 innings.

Lake Elsinore Storm @ Bakersfield Blaze, 7:05pm: New Jersey native Jerry Sullivan will drag his 6.63 ERA to the hill in hopes of avoiding his fourth loss. A second win would be nice but sometimes you have to take baby steps.

Tucson Padres @ Reno Aces, 7:45pm: The TuPads are looking to break a nine game losing streak; Matt Palmer gets the start. In news from the other side, Geoff Blum begins his rehab assignment in Reno tonight.

Go future Friars!

(I like Weezer, too)
