Vance Worley probably won't be winning a Cy Young Award this season. I'm just throwing that out there.
Also, I'm pretty sure I was just kidding when I said the Padres should just go with the whole "don't swing the bat" strategy for getting on base, but then again, when all swinging does is groundouts and odd flailing, then you know... Maybe don't swing.
In any case, Joe Wieland settled in and gave everybody a little display of why he's a top prospect for us. After a shaky first inning, he was pretty well lights out. The rest of the Padres were so amazed, they forgot how to do basic things. Like hit the ball out of the infield one f_cking time when leading off an inning with a triple.
MEh. We better get them tomorrow. I hate Cole Hamels, but only because he hates me and all of the people I know in San Diego first.
tonoxtono once again owns it with triple digit comments. Wonko right behind. I personally go for quality these days, but I blame nobody for rapid fire getting their stuff out there.
