There's something weird about Dave Winfield tweeting at Derek Jeter trying to get some recognition for their shared hit total. Maybe it's just the use of emoticons that makes it seem flirty. Or maybe it's because it comes off as a little bit desperate on Winfield's part. Like he's forced to tweet his well wishes through public channels since Jeter will only share his cell number with Yankee Hall of Famers and groupies.
