Afternoon game today as Cory Luebke tries to live up to the hype a bit more and Joe Saunders tries to endear himself to Arizonians.
Here's something to think about. Joe Saunders, 4.58 Ks per 9 innings last season. Cory Luebke, 9.92 Ks per 9.
Luebke strikes guys out at a rate double that of Joe Saunders.
One of these pitchers is what we would consider good. It's up to the rest of the team to turn this into the reality of a win. Sure it may seem crazy, but the 2012 Padres are better than the record suggests so far.
Honest.
Rain is threatening this game, which should make things very interesting if you're interested in things like clouds and moisture.
