Although baseball's regular season technically went underway in the wee hours of this morning halfway across the world, our Padres still have just over a week left until they open their season at Petco Park.
The team will travel to Camelback Ranch today to take on the White Sox. Edinson Volquez will take the mound in his fifth start of the Spring. As of now he's looking like our number 3 starter to begin the season. In his last outing, he gave up two runs on two hits, two walks, and six strikeouts against his former team, Cincinnati. He is scheduled for six innings today, with Huston Street and Anthony Bass scheduled for one and two innings, respectively.
