Another split squad day in Arizona today.
Over in Surprise, Cory Luebke will take the mound in his fifth start of the Spring. As of now, he's looking like our number 2 starter to begin the regular season. Huston Street, Luke Gregerson, and Alex Hinshaw are scheduled to work out of the bullpen.
#Padres at #Rangers: Hermida 9, Guzman 7, Clark 3, Grandal 0, Gyorko 5, Baker 2, Galvez 4, Parrino 6, Luebke 1.

Casey Kelly will start at home against the Dodgers, followed by Dale Thayer, Micah Owings, and Joe Thatcher. Kelly is making his second start (fifth outing) of the Spring, and he'll be pitching against the Dodgers A squad. He gave up two runs in four innings in his last start, but has pitched well overall this Spring. Bud Black and Darren Balsley have been working with him on speeding up his delivery and moving him to the first base side of the rubber, and so far it has seemed to work for him, so getting some innings in will help him perfect it.
#Padres vs. #Dodgers: Maybin 8, Venable 9, Headley 5, Alonso 3, Hundley 2, Kotsay 7, Bartlett 6, Cabrera 4, Kelly 1.
