ST Game Thread: 03/21 Padres @ Dodgers

A solid 10-6 win over the Rockies last night put our Padres at 2 games over .500 so far in Spring Training. Errors helped the boys get out to an early lead. Jesus Guzman hit a pinch hit grand slam and Andrew Cashner threw straight fire to close out the game, using only 12 pitches to strike out the side in the 9th. Today we will take on Ted Lilly and the Dodgers, another NL West foe, at Camelback Ranch.

Tim Stauffer will make the start for the good guys, going five innings. He is projected by many as the leading candidate to start on Opening Day against the Dodgers on April 5th, so today will be good practice for him. Scheduled to pitch out of the bullpen are Matt Palmer, Brad Boxberger, Micah Owings, Dale Thayer, and Alex Hinshaw.

Orlando Hudson is back in the lineup and batting 2nd today after being out for over a week with a strained groin. Here's how the rest of the lineup looks:

Uncle Ted, the Colonel, and Scan will be on the call at 1:05pm on ESPN 1700. The game will also be shown on MLB.TV and delayed on MLB Network.

GO FRIARS!! KEEP THE FAITH!! BEAT LA!!
