The Padres made their first cuts today, sending Cory Burns, Jorge Reyes, Ali Solis, Eddy Rodriguez, and Cory Spangenberg to Minor League Camp. Reyes is still scheduled to pitch today if a tenth inning is needed.
Cory Luebke will make his second start of the Spring against the Rockies in Scottsdale. He pitched well in his last start, a Padres win against the Reds. Through two innings he gave up one hit and one walk, but took both baserunners out with pickoff plays, and he struck out his remaining four batters. Hopefully he continues to pitch well today in his scheduled three innings of work.
