We got the whole slew of new Padres logos a few months ago but there was one that was conspicuously absent... until now. They've quietly revealed the new Petco Park logo (gone is the PETCO Park home plate logo). Wonder if this means people will stop capitalizing the name of our ballpark?

I do to
I like that it is cleaner and it actually features part of the ballpark in it now. And the demise of the ALL CAPS PETCO is a nice touch too. They’ve put up matching large signs above the scoreboards in left field and on the back of the scoreboards between the upper and lower halves of the billboards.
Agreed, this is much better
This is a terrible thing for the Padres. - Jerry Coleman

seems unnecessary to add that plate to the seats
didn’t they have the interlocking SD before?

It's a trash can in the Park at the Park
They’ve added the new Petco logo to all the blue recycling ones and stripped the old home plate Padres logo off all the sand colored trash cans.
can't we just put a dodger logo on the trash cans

Fitting
Since the Dodgers are getting good at recycling former Padres players…

Do you imagine a scenario where we could, say, sell Hudson to a Japanese team?
