is freddie freeman your idea of a good fantasy 1b? because the projections predict alonso to do almost exactly what freeman did last season.

if you are relying on freeman, something went wrong. But it’s baseball, and things go wrong all the time.
Freeman is not horrible/bad/etc. its just usually you want a stud at 1b.

On the Padres, anyone who hits for average is a stud.
The only comparable you need is Hawpe/Cantu/Rizzo at first base last year.
The combined production from those guys last year: .230/.301/.359.
How he compares to other teams’ first basemen doesn’t matter, we can only
compare him to H/C/R, and compared to them, he IS a stud.
