Edwin Jackson wanted a 4-year deal? I guess I don't blame him. It's no fun getting moved around a ton, but at the same time, you kinda have to earn that sort of thing don't you? What were we going to do with all these pitching prospects and Edwin Jackson?

It's like the guy who was only interested in one night stands suddenly wanted to get married real fast. Like his biological clock was ticking. I guess I'm thankful we didn't get saddled with that. Here's to the Padres using that money wisely in another direction.
