In an attempt to bury the news that Yasmani Grandal was suspended 50 games for elevated testosterone the Padres have traded Blake Tekotte for a Player to Be Named Later. That ought to take the attention off Grandal for a while.

Josh Spence and Tekotte were both designated for assignment last Friday to make room on the 40 man roster for 5 players coming off the DL. Spence was just picked up off waivers by the Yankees.
