This week's post is a bit belated unfortunately. I've been busy with other stuff and haven't had much time for this. Thus, I have a pretty simple item to share this week.

Today I have a team photo from 2002. I can't seem to remember if they gave these out at the beginning or the end of the season. In any case, it's a permanent reminder of players I'd much rather forget about. The 2002 team lost 96 games. It was the first year without Tony the Gwynn. Tony's replacement? Bubba Trammell. The team also had some treasures such as 38 year old Tom Lampkin catching and Deivi Cruz at shortstop. Average age of the lineup (not including pitcher).....30.875 years.

I find it interesting that the photo is sponsored by Weinerschnitzel. I don't recall them ever doing promotions with the padres.
