Time Warner Cable is upset that AT&T picked up Fox Sports San Diego before Time Warner Cable's own RSN which earns them the sympathy of exactly nobody.

Was it strategic that FSSD didn't do the proper AT&T U-Verse announcement until after the last game of the season? I could see that. Why tease viewers? Better to kinda sneak it in there and look forward to next season. Hit the ground running instead of starting with an ending as it were. In any case, here's the OFFICIAL OFFICIAL word now that, yes, what you're seeing on AT&T U-Verse is actually FSSD.

Padres Games will be Available to AT&T U-Verse Customers for the First Time Ever
More Than 150 Regular-Season Padres Games to be Distributed by AT&T U-Verse Starting in 2013Fox Sports San Diego is now available for local U-verse TV customers with the U100 package and above on channel 776 [and 1776 in HD]. Carriage of FOX Sports San Diego and the Padres began with yesterday’s finale against the Brewers.
Starting in 2013, AT&T U-Verse customers will be able to see all Padres games televised by FOX Sports San Diego, the exclusive local television home for the San Diego Padres.
The number of regular season Padres games made available to AT&T U-Verse customers will be at least 150, pending additional games selected for national distribution.
Over the next several months, FOX Sports San Diego will showcase a variety of marquee professional and collegiate sports, including Los Angeles Clippers basketball, Anaheim Ducks hockey, and 41 college football games featuring teams from the Big 12, Conference USA, ACC and SEC. And starting in the 2013-‘14 season, FOX Sports San Diego will be the new TV home for Aztec basketball.

It's strange that Fox Sports San Diego hasn't come out and announced that AT&T UVerse has purchased their Padres themed channel, giving San Diegans another alternative to Time Warner.
Besides the fact that the game last night was televised this is about as official as the news gets at the moment.

Maybe the deal is only done to a point and there is still red tape to get through but they decided to throw AT&T customers a bone.

The tweets are is pouring in with Padres fans seeing Padres broadcast in their DVR menus for the first time in years.
