If Byrnes and the new owners are willing to give $9 million/year to an injury prone left fielder but power hitter in CQ, I think it's fair to say Chase could get a comparable contract. I'd say we give him a 2-3 year deal at an average of $7 million per year; to figure out if he'll build on his breakout year. Even if we end up trading him, I wouldn't be displeased, just as long as we got a good return. But if we traded him, who are the most worthy trade partners and what would you want in return? I also think Gyorko could be a valuable asset to us next year. Maybe he can platoon with Headley at 3rd to increase his trade value or we could stick him at SS or 2B. What's your take on Gyorko's situation?
