Where's the best place to sit at Petco?

Hi. I'm a visitor from HH, and I have a question for you guys. I'm coming down to SD in May for the series between the Angels and the Padres. I've never been to Petco before, so I'm asking you for advice on where the best place to sit is. Thanks much, guys.

Inside of 1st to 3rd base… You can get GREAT tikets on StubHub for under $50!!!
Should be a full crowd with all the new bandwagon Angel fans

Thanks.

Hope there aren’t too many bandwagoners… Been a Halo fan since ‘67, but I’ve got a soft spot for the Pads because of Buddy Black.

If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?

I agree with this

You can get seats that line up right next to the dugout for around $65 face value. You’re only three or four rows back from the action. Totally worth it if you’re just checking out the park and similar seats in other ballparks go for $300+.

I’ve always loved sitting in section 300 … 300-304 would be your best bet. Inexpensive and offer great views of the ballpark.

I agree

That’s usually where I sit—it’s high up but you see the entire field for less than $20.

25 years as a baseball fan and I'm still confused by the infield fly rule

This

Upper deck behind the plate is the best place to sit if you’re really trying to watch the game. And for $18ish it’s still a solid value. Just stay away from the light towers…

One of the really expensive seats.

And be sure to buy lots of food. And drinks. And stay in a fancy hotel. In other words… give us your money!

OK, I deserved that. I'm sure someone at HH would have said the same thing to you.

And depending on if the Missus comes, I want to stay at the Marina Marriott. Is that fancy enough for you?

If the Halos don't care about the way they play, then why should I?

Yeah, that's pretty fancy.

Though the Omni has a guests-only entrance to Petco that’s pretty sweet. But seriously, everybody recommending the upper infield is right. Sections 300-304-ish are the best value in the park.

I like the Infield Upper Boxes

You have a great view of the park and your own isolated section. Some of the Upper Boxes consist of one row.
