Spring Training tickets on sale tomorrow

Just got the email saying they go on sale tomorrow!

The wife and I made it out there last year for our first time. It was a blast, so I am very excited to do it again this year. Especially since we are planning to attend more games.

Just wanted to share.

Go Padres!

(The schedule in case it is useful to anyone that hasn't seen it yet http://sandiego.padres.mlb.com/spring_training/home.jsp?c_id=sd&partnerId=ed-5517138-242493788 )

Going for my first time

Mar. 8-11 Really looking forward to it. If there are any suggestions while I’m out there I am all ears.

yeah, practice starts at 9am or 10am or something like that

Watching practice is free. Get there early enough and parking is free too.

Hotels get full. Book early.

+1

Definitely check out the practice fields. Last year thanks to a tip on twitter I was able to see Latos pitch a simulated game. It was pretty cool. He was awful and swearing up a storm, but it was great being right at the fence behind home plate while he’s pitching.

Should be even better this year with our greatly improved farm system.

Visit as many parks as you can

Each park is a little different and worth checking out. I even enjoyed going to non-Padres games when the Padres had the day off or whatever. It’s a nice opportunity to see some teams and players I otherwise rarely get the chance to see play.

My favorite part was just hanging out at the practice fields

and I would actually go over to the minor league portion and watch them.

Mat Latos is the real deal...Go Lakers, Pads, and Bolts

I am going to be there!

"Over? Did you say "over"? Nothing is over until we decide it is! Was it over when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? Hell no!"

I stay at home

Only time of the year I can happily say I live about 15 min from Peoria stadium. Hope to see all of you there!
