Alex "sell-out" Smith

As I got comfy to watch the NFC title game last evening on FOX, I happened to catch a pre-game interview with self-professed Padres fan , 49er QB Alex Smith. Much to my DISGUST he was wearing a SF Giants ballcap!!! What? Why Alex, WHY????????? Did they make you, or have you sod-out to the city you play in???? I live on the East Coast (Ct.) and I've been a Padres fan since 1973 despite hearing it from Yankees, Mets and Red Sox fans. I was pulling for you, but if you've turned to the dark side I 'm glad you lost!

I feel like I've heard this before

Let me get in my time machine. I’ll be back in a second.

And I’m back. Here’s where I’ve seen this before.

Why ask a failed romance to come watch your successful one? You know, that's like inviting the Seattle Mariners to a World Series game. It's just weird for everyone.

yeah, I remembered your article (great job by the way) but hoped he would change his tune, that’s all!

Even if that didn't have a misspelling

it still would have made my day.

This whole situation really bummed me out...

18 months ago I was watching a game of my football, your soccer, and the camera found Alex Smith in the crowd.

He was at the San Jose Earthquake game against my team, Tottenham Hotspur. He was wearing a Padres ballcap, a Tottenham shirt and his name was Alex (like me) and he was like rich and handsome and successful and I kinda had a slight man-crush on the go right there.

And now…. he’s dead to me. Less than dead. He’s nothing. Who is nothing? Exactly!
