Game Thread: 9/24, Padres vs. Dodgers

Los Angeles Dodgers at San Diego Padres, Sep 24, 2011 5:35 PM PDT

Padres play their last Saturday night game of the season.  It's beginning to look like they don't have a chance at the playoffs.  Let's just keep the faith anyway, just in case.

Go Padres!

Neely's doing South Carolina vs Vanderbilt

I guess he does have a job aside from waiting for Enberg to croak

I always pictured him in the doorway for every game

One bad cough from Enberg and he’s on the mic within seconds

Brad Pitt may win Best Actor at the Oscars this year, as a way to award his body of work over the years. Still prefer Ryan Gosling in Drive, but this was a really good performance by Pitt., and I really liked the film overall.

He was very good

I think Brad Pitt is underrated in the way he becomes his characters. I feel he’s better at that than George Clooney, for example.

I did feel the movie dragged a bit at the end, should have wrapped up more quickly after the 2002 season ended. What did you think?

by SolanaFan on Sep 24, 2011 6:16 PM PDT up reply actions

That would have been an awkward place to end, though.

I felt as if Bennie still had his own obstacles to overcome and the last bit at the end was a nice way to close out the movie.

Here comes the HEATH

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.
