Tony Gwynn Interview Part 2: Dick Williams
On Thursday the Padres will honor their recently deceased former Hall of Fame manager Dick Williams by wearing throwback uniforms from 1983.
In yesterday's interview I asked Tony Gwynn to share his memory of the man.
"He's the one who really taught me how to play the game."

He is the man. Miss watching him play. Which I could download a couple of his old games just to watch him play now and then.

I didn’t get to see very many games because I was young and they didn’t show Padres games up in Washington. I think the only games I know for sure that I saw was a game that I went to in April of 98 when I was 9 and then later that year when they got swept in the World Series
