Adrian Gonzalez Is A Backtracking Hypocritical Liar
In May 2010, after Governor Jan Brewer signed 1070 into law, MLB superstars like Adrian Gonzalez of the Boston Red Sox [TTG's note: then of the San Diego Padres] called 1070 "immoral" and hinted he may boycott the All-Star Game in Phoenix.
Now, a year later, Gonzalez and others have changed their tunes calling immigration "a government issue, not a baseball issue."

Wow, way to backtrack when you've become the darling of baseball, Adrian.

But not particularly surprising.
I think it’s easy to say “next year I won’t do that!” when it’s a year out.
It would sure be an interesting event if players who said they’d boycott actually would. How would that even work?

Isn't it enough to know that I ruined a pony making a gift for you? ◔ヮ◔

The Sawx probably wrote into his contract that he has to toe the line.
Besides that,
1. the game was awarded to the D’backs and their host city of Phoenix, not Arizona;
2. the law is tied up in court and not in effect;
3. other states have statutes with the same provisions that are objectionable, including Cali;
4. the opponents who want the boycott are just trying to use MLB as a “moral authority”;
5. MLB is not a “moral authority”;
6. Adrian Gonzalez is not a “moral authority” either.

All of these points are irrelevant.
He said he’d do one thing based on his moralities and then the next year said that it was a “a government issue, not a baseball issue” thereby saying that his moralities no longer mattered.
Nothing on that numbered listed refutes that.
