Orlando Hudson defensive off the field "...if it were easy, guess what? You’d be doing it."

Upon his arrival in San Diego people kept telling me "Oh you're going to love O-Dawg!"

And I did for a little bit.

Then he started lashing out at fans who were booing and denying that he tweets even though he obviously does.

Two outs, bases loaded, tie game, and Hudson strides into the box. Up until that at-bat, Hudson’s 43rd game as a Padre had served as a microcosm of his 2011th season — painfully disappointing.

Before his RBI single, you might think he was having a pretty rough day in the big leagues.  You'd be wrong.

“Never a rough day,” Hudson said of his game up until the eighth. “It happens. Part of the game. ’Cause if it were easy, guess what? You’d be doing it.”

He may swing and miss at the plate, but he never misses a chance to tell you that you couldn't do any better. I guess if acting humble was easy, he'd be doing it.
