Padres Have Given Up on Wade LeBlanc...FINALLY!
I am so happy that the Padres have finally given up on Wade LeBlanc. Cory Leubke will take Wade's spot in the rotation.
It was impossible watching Wade pitch. He had no real "stuff". Wade could not fool hitters at all.
Its time for Jed to start jettisoning players who have no business on the big league level. See Luis Durango.
I would DREAD going to a game pitched by Wade Leblanc. He couldnt strike anyone out and didnt have the command of his pitches that a "control" pitcher should have.
Good Riddance!
This has been a very frustrating season to watch.

I agree. Bud seems to have a problem with LeBlanc.
Bud has the quickest hook, pulling Wade as soon as he gets in trouble, not letting work out of jams.
He hasn’t exactly been able to settle in this year, getting called up for one start and sent back down, called up again but not used for seven days since his last Tucson start, and pushed back to six days off to let Moseley get back in the rotation.
I admit, Luebke has a higher upside as a strong #3, but put Wade on a team that scores some runs for him, and has a manager who won’t yank him with 2 outs in the 5th, disqualifying him for a win, and he could be a decent 4th starter. Wade has an excellent slider and passable cutter. He needs a third pitch, but even more, he needs a manager who will show some confidence in him.

I bet you a million dollars
Wade will pitch another game for the Padres. Probably even this season.

Then they lost 10 in a row, ‘twas like a punch in the jock!

Smart move. You have to wonder if Wonko has the money to pay off.
Still, if Jed sees value in LeBlanc but Bud doesn’t, something’s got to give. Lefty starters are a rare commodity, and even a mediocre one can have a long career. Bud has a multi-year contract, and otherwise works well with Jed, so there’s a possibility Wade could get shipped to another team as part of a bigger trade.

This implies that Buddy has some issue with LeBlanc
However, I don’t buy that premise.

Haha.
You could probably take out a loan to do it too if you had some good paperwork signed by Jed.

wait.
if you take the bet, don’t you lose by having wade start? Wonkos prop is that wade starts. if your betting him, your betting that wade doesn’t start.
