I don't have many good stories to tell from my trip to Baltimore, D.C and Atlanta, but there are pictures. This was a trip with just my brother and I. Although I did meet up with a couple people along the way. We took a red eye out to Baltimore see a day game there between the Orioles and Royals that went extra innings. Then it was was 3 days in D.C. to see the entire Padres series there. And then to Atlanta via plane to see the whole series down south. Anyway, without further ado, here's the trip in pictures.
Our first view of Camden Yards.
Some retired numbers and a bird drinking soda.
Babe Ruth
Me, looking elsewhere with some bricks in the background.
I liked these seats, but it was too hot.
These were cooler. They were probably taken earlier, but this was extra innings and the dumb people had left.
On to D.C.
Some mascots and a view of that odd wrap around scoreboardy thing.
Statues:
Giant scoreboard/jumbotron.
Our free souvenir.
Looks like rain. Maybe. Or something.
YUP. Rain and lightning. My hair was casualty.
Tarp is off. Game is back on. And I have a message from Drama.
[Scene Missing]
So, there was drinking and wandering into places we probably shouldn't be and whatever. And we lost. Moving on.
The next day we had some awesome seats.
Run, Presidents, Run!
Winsies!
Way to work it, Lueb!
D.C. Stuff
Nighttime Lincoln approves of our win.
This is all I've got from the 3rd game. Another win.
On to Atlanta.
Hammerin' Hank statue.
More statues.
The Braves have won a lot of stuff. The NL Champion ones are in red. I notice that the 1998 one is not in red. Heh, heh, heh.
Just noticed that there aren't any pictures from the Memorial Day game. IIRC the camera was out of batteries. That's okay because Channel 4 noticed our presence.
Here's Mat Latos toeing the slab.
Same game, relocated. Looks like Heath Bell is in to close it out.
Winsies.
Any butt slaps in there?
Last game. We went for the bird's eye view this time.
Actually, by the end it was more like bug's eye. I think I still have some in my teeth.
Aaaand, we lost. But, I guess a 4-2 road trip ain't too shabby.
