Orlando Hudson rounded second base last night and pulled up lame, grabbing his hamstring and retreating to the bag.  Black told the press after the game that they shouldn't jump to any conclusions when it came to Hudson  being placed on the Disabled List.

Today however, It was announced that he would be placed onto the 15 day disabled list

Logan Forsythe was promoted from AAA Tucson as Hudson's replacement.

In order to activate Forsythe, the Padres first had to add him to the 40-man roster. They opened a spot for that move by shifting left-handed pitcher Joe Thatcher, who had arthroscopic shoulder surgery Monday, to the 60-day disabled list from the 15-day disabled list.

It's unclear if Forsythe will be put "in da lineup" as a result of Hudson asking Bud Black to see how many runs he can drive in.
