2011 Intro Songs
One of the things I'm always curious about leading up to the home opener is what songs the players will have played when they come to bat. Here are some suggestions for the 8 regulars and the guy who would be starting the home opener if healthy.
Ryan Ludwick – Hand Me Down by The Wallflowers
“’…you never know when you’ll disappoint us again.”
Cameron Maybin – Summer Girls by LFO
“…chinese food makes me sick.”
Will Venable –
Chase Headley – Switch by Will Smith
(I think this should be pretty obvious)
Jason Bartlett –
Orlando Hudson – Who am I by Snoop Dogg
Brad Hawpe – Rocky Mountain High by John Denver
(Maybe we just need to help him pretend he’s still hitting in Coors Field)
Nick Hundley – Wind Beneath My Wings by Bette Midler
(All this guy does is get clutch hits)
Mat Latos – Pretty Fly (For a White Guy) by The Offspring
“Friends say he’s trying too hard, and he’s not quite hip, but in his own mind, he’s the dopest trip.”

Interesting
For Venable, I’d go with Let’s Get It Started since he’s batting leadoff and he keeps runnin’ runnin’ and runnin’ runnin’.
Everytime I see Denorfia, this is the song that plays in my head, and probably his.
Cantu and his mustache merits Minnie the Moocher
Another song choice for Hudson could be #1 by Nelly.
“I am #1. No matter if you like it, just take it, sit down, and write it.”
Why ask a failed romance to come watch your successful one? You know, that's like inviting the Seattle Mariners to a World Series game. It's just weird for everyone.
Why'd you do that to me with that R. Kelly song?
That’s just cruel.

I loved Venables
intro song last year “what you do to me” by blakroc so i hope he keeps it.
don't panic. stay cool. dream big.
Will Venable: Will 2K by Will Smith from Willenium
Reasons are obvious
Ehhhh, I don't deserve a signature...
I don't know who really deserves it on the current Padres
because its foreboding intro is something that should be earned before using, but I think this would make an excellent intro for a fearsome slugger. I guess it fits Blanks well if he develops into the stud we hoped for, or Rizzo too for that matter.

They should play that when the Padres win it all and they present the bird to every fcukin’ doubter and hater out there.
