Padres vs. Indians Spring Training 3/13/11 Game Thread

The game just started. It's on 4SD and of course, on the radio. Tim Stauffer already pitched the top of the 1st and looked alright. Patterson just got himself a lead-off double. This game is already looking to be a good one, probably jinxed it, but it's just spring training. Hudson just grounded out to first, moving Patterson to 3rd with one out.  Do these still have to be 75 words or so? Hawpe grounded out now, two outs. I'm starting to run out of things to say. Ah well, I don't think it'll matter if I stop...right...NOW!

 Padres Lineup:

Patterson-LF-- Hudson-2B-- Hawpe-1B-- Guzman-3B-- Hundley-C-- Maybin-CF-- Denorfia-RF-- Frandsen-SS-- Stauffer-P.

2-0 Padres after a throwing error

The 2nd baseman was aiming for Mark Grant when he threw it. I don’t blame him.

Stauffer is being Stawesome today.

Just checking in to make roll call. It’s too beautiful a day to spend inside, so I think I’m going to the zoo.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the iniquities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who would attempt to poison and destroy My brothers. And you will know My name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.

Augh, I've been AWOL for the last few threads.

I’m glad to see Stauffer finally putting it all together, and I like what Cedric is showing in spring training. I still hope for big things from the ’88-er from Decatur.

Ehhhh, I don't deserve a signature...

that spelling doesn't take into account

that there are multiple tim stauffers out there in the padre universe. bullpen stauffer, starting stauffer, beach stauffer, gandalf’s magic stauffer – the one constant is the great action on the cut fastball.

I have a question.

Do we have a standardized spelling of Stawesome yet? Stausome? I’m just saying, I think we’re going to need it.

by Darklighter on Mar 14, 2011 9:38 AM PDT reply actions

I'm a fan of the second spelling...Stausome!
