Photo a Day: Philip Rivers autographed baseball
Here's another photo of Padres stuff around my desk. That is a Philip Rivers autographed baseball. It was given to me by my brother-in-law, Brooks Conrad when the Braves played in the Padres 2010 home opener. Rivers threw out the first pitch. My brother-in-law is a huge Chargers fan and Rivers grew up a Braves fan. Brooks got one for himself and one for me. Later, I found out that Brooks also has a Matt Ryan autographed baseball from when Ryan threw out a first pitch for the Braves. That would be some kind of good collection to have is baseballs signed by quarterbacks. Aaron Rodgers probably makes a lot of sense.

I think that it's both scary and sad
that the Padres success this season is so dependent on Phillip Rivers rehabbing from TJ surgery and winning the starting 1B job

This is another example of why baseball is better than football.
Can you imagine how expensive and clunky it would be to collect autographed footballs?
