Jamie Moyer: San Diego Padre?
Might as well re-sign Chris Hammond and Bob Tewksbury while we're at it!
Pitcher Jamie Moyer(notes), who turns 49 later this month, is trying to return to the major leagues after missing the 2011 season following Tommy John surgery, and he has thrown for scouts twice recently, FoxSports.com reported Thursday.
Moyer is a free agent, and on Thursday he threw for San Diego Padres scouts, who were impressed.
Other teams who have scouted him: Mariners, Rangers, Royals, Rockies, Orioles, and Pirates.
