Just curious...  do we really need to turn teams into reality TV stars?

I appreciate all the effort in putting together a team... but I enjoy seeing it on the field and don't see the need to follow the players around and witness the behind the scenes effort. Plus I wouldn't necessarily trust that the activities on display before the cameras would be for real and not just done for ratings.

But hey, I generally do not watch TV anyway so I am probably not the target audience. And to be honest not sure how I would feel if the Padres were on Showtime in a similar show.
