Does Latos remind anyone of Peavy?

Watching Latos get nasty last night reminded me of when Peavy used to K piles of guys for fun.  I know teams don't have the biggest book on him right now, but soon they will and I think he'll be more than ready to handle it.  I hope we don't get nuts and do anything to a.) jeopardize this kid's arm or b.) (heaven forbid) trade him.  I can't wait to see how high the ceiling might be on this guy in a year or two.  He makes me proud to be a Padres fan.  Keep it up Matty - next stop Cooperstown!

That would be an awesome t-shirt.

Just a picture of McMuffin’s face over the caption “HE BACKS HIS SH*T UP ON HIS OWN”. On the back it could say “I learned how to breathe through my eyelids… now you’re f*cked.”

Latos is younger

much younger

I was dating this girl from Canada... after about a month I found out she didn't know what sport the Padres played, she thought "padre" was spelled p-o-d-r-a-y and she thought it was some kind of a fish. Dealbreaker.

I hate that Peavy makes me want to hate him.

He was one of my favorite Padres and even sounded like he would be interested in returning to SD after his contract with the ChiSox was over.

But Latos looks like he could be a lot better. Easy 97 mph power with a cleaner, less jerky delivery.

Ehhhh, I don't deserve a signature...
