Heath Bell has been tweeting recently about the team's desire to have their final series of the season against the Giants determine the NL West champion.

He even congratulated the Giants on their win a few days ago against the Colorado Rockies, which was strange considering the Giants stood between the Padres and first place.

Then it got even more bizarre. Last night he tweeted this cryptic comment:

It’s been that way for a couple years. Wasn’t it just a few weeks ago that he popped off about the mound being ruined for a soccer match? Reporters already know who to go to if they need something to write about.
