Clayton Richard throws complete game shut out. Padres win 6-0

Fantastic win by our boys!  All is forgiven.  We love you again!

Clayton Richard threw his first complete game shut out, giving the Padres bullpen a even more rest.

He had a shaky first inning and combined with Will Venable's dropped ball in center it looked like the Pads were again destined for trouble.  Fortunately they quickly snapped out of it and overcame adversity keeping the Dodgers scoreless throughout the remainder of the game.

Ryan Ludwick stepped up again offensively driving in 4 runs.  The Dodgers buried a pitch into Eckstein's back at some point not realizing that he loves being hit by pitches.

In other news, the Dodgers were eliminated from the Post Season race when the Giants won in Chicago earlier in the night.
