Rocky Mountain Anvil – Ducksnorts
"I’m glad to see Bud Black hasn’t lost his sense of humor, though. It’s a long season and you need to keep laughing in the face of adversity. I assume that’s why he brought Edward Mujica in to face Tulowitzki with two on and the Padres down, 6-2, in the fourth." -

this series should be easier than we think
there’s no excuses for losing Friday and Saturday’s games. The Cards just announced that they’re giving Jaime Garcia a break and starting Jeff Suppan (1-7, 5.85 e.r.a.) instead on Sat. Kyle Lohse (3-7, 6.85 e.r.a.) will be starting on Fri. These guys serve up some serious batting practice. If they win a game, it’s a serious freak of nature. They really are straight-up awful. The Cards are unfolding. There’s really no excuses here. We’ve got a major opportunity. It’s time to win and win big.
I’ll be sitting a few rows behind the Penitentiary on thurs, fri and sun. Hope to see some ballers at the park.

They're not awful.
Plus, Wainwright is starting Sunday. It won’t be a freak of nature if they win that game.

We've beaten Wainwright this season at home
And he’s struggling right now: he’s lost 5 of his last 6 starts, with 3 of those loses coming at home.

yes, Suppan and Lohse are awful this season, you can't deny it

Those guys are awful.
The Cardinals as a whole aren’t.

yes, of course
I was referring to Suppan & Lohse, not the Cards. The Cards aren’t the least bit awful, but they are majorly falling apart.
In addition, Ryan Franklin is taking a few personal days off starting tonight, and their GM is encouraging LaRussa to play the younger call-ups more. Things are looking good for the Pads.

Priceless
Wile E. Mujica. I picture him throwing the pitch to Tulowitzki, then holding up a cardboard sign that says, "Help!"

Geoff is a funny guy
I liked this line, but this is how it should have gone:
As far as I’m concerned, Tulowitzki can leave the National League West right now… and he’s welcome to takeJustin UptonStephen Drew with him.
.
Ehhhh, I don't deserve a signature...
As far as I am concerned the Rockies
Can leave the NL West. I never understood why we reserve so much hatred for the Dodgers when the Giants and the Rockies have always been more evil. Granted we are splitting hairs here… as all our collective division mates are evil. But man… I remember rooting for the D-Backs over the Yankees… but if it was the Giants or Rockies… I may not have.

Argh I HATED the 2001 D-Backs with their stupid Johnson, Schilling, Williams and Grace
I wanted both teams to lose
Ehhhh, I don't deserve a signature...
I was just glad to see someone beat the yankees at their own game.

Gaslamp Baller does standup comedy while wearing very blurry Pen-itentiary shirt!!!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Km4qObf5N40
I was dating this girl from Canada... after about a month I found out she didn't know what sport the Padres played, she thought "padre" was spelled p-o-d-r-a-y and she thought it was some kind of a fish. Dealbreaker.

What really pissed me off
was when Scott Speizio got a DUI a few months later and they released him and LaRussa said it was because his actions didn’t represent the values of the organization. WHAT THE F*CK?!?!
