I was listening to Hacksaw on the way home and he was reporting that Chris Young will be making his first start since April. It will be his second start of the year after a long stay on the disabled list.
In a quick, yet exhaustive, search of the internet this was the first and only report I could find.
After 5 1/2 months rehabbing his shoulder, Chris Young will start Saturday in St. Louis for the Padres.
I'm not sure how I feel about this. I guess it's worth a shot because Kevin Correia and Wade LeBlanc have been super sketchy in their most recent starts... okay, most of the year Playing them is like playing with a Ouija Board, either nothing memorable really happens or you open a gateway to Hell.
Chris Young makes me crazy nervous though. He has barely pitched in the last 3 years appearing in 13 games in 2009 and 17 in 2008. The last time he was really dominant was sometime in 2007. He's so injury prone that I just hope he can stay healthy for the remaining 17 games of the season.

Padres wouldn't confirm that story when I called a short while ago. I'll believe it when Bud says it.

Now I've been told that "it's not 100 percent, but likely" that Chris Young will start Saturday. #Padres

It's official.
According to a team source, right-hander Chris Young, on the disabled list since the first week of the season with a strained right shoulder, will get the start Saturday against the Cardinals.
