Padres beat Rockies 7-6, fans lose finger nails

I was listening to the game on the drive home and I was relieved to hear it was 4-0 Padres.  From everything I heard Jon Garland was pitching a hell of a game.  In my 5 minutes of travel the Rockies scored 3 times on two errors and maybe a hit that should have been an error.  I quickly turned off the radio and banished myself from spectating.  Every once in a while I would get up enough courage to check the score and we'd be hanging on to that one run lead, so I'd quickly turn it off again.

After I was sure the game was over, I went back and watched the last few innings. Things started to get crazy in the 8th and 9th.   Matt Stairs hit a two run bomb.  Then the Rockies answered back.with a run of their own.  Heath Bell came in the bottom of the 8th to record the last out.  Then he took his first at bat of the year, working the count full with the bases loaded -- my DVR stopped there.  So this post stops here, I'm recording the replay to see what I missed.

Go Padres!  Nooner tomorrow, be there!
