Just read an interesting article about the Coors effect.
In summary, all pitches move differently and less in Colorado, but the biggest effect isn’t on curves and sliders as most think, but actually on fastballs. On the whole, fastballs go a bit faster, but they lose a ton of movement. The result is a fast, straight pitch that is way easier to square up and drive than in other parks.

At least to the extent that they talk about it. Breaking pitches lose movement as well, but not nearly as much as fastballs.

It would take the Giants going 19-10 or the Rockies going 22-9 or the Dodgers going 23-6 for someone to tie us for the divisional lead. The Phillies would also have to go at least 17-13 to tie us for the wild card.

All the hope and faith is wonderful when the game is going on
But, it really is very rational to wonder how a team that’s on a 7 game losing streak is going to finish out the stretch run. Sure, they have some numerical advantages because of their current won-loss record. However, I think the fans want to know what that future won-loss record will be. And it’s hard to imagine them winning at the rate they used to when they are playing like this.
