Padres beat D-Backs by a Billion

I was kind of hoping that Dex was going to write this game recap, since I kept drifting off into a Sunday nap during the game.  I only remember a few things and I'm not sure if they are real or if I was dreaming.

You know what I like about Mat Latos?  When he drops his curve for a called third strike. He's already got his back turned and is walking away from the batter before the ball gets to the catcher.  I also like that if the Pads need to stop a 2 game losing streak, they throw Latos out there with a fist full of bubble gum and he gets the job done.

Quoth Latos:

"I love the feeling I get when someone says they doubt us as a team or calls us an underdog. I heard it this morning, one of those guys on TV saying we were in trouble. I wanted the ball right then."

What got into Padres offense?  They went off on the D-Backs.  Jerry Hairston Jr. had three hits and scored 4 times?  That's impressive, but just a typical night out for me.

As Yorvit Torrealba says, Latos and this team are "crazy good".
