Padres losing streak continues

Another poor start for Kevin Correia.  He gave up 6 hits and 6 runs in the game. Joe Thatcher gave up 2 hits and 1 run. Most of that was in the brutal 5th inning.  I really wish Bud Black would have pulled Correia as soon as he walked the pitcher Ian Kennedy.  He'd only pitched 4 innings, but I think I'd just be thankful that he took us that far and gone to some long relief before things got out of hand.

Haha! First caller on John Kentera's postgame show is Ted.  "Kevin Correia is a loser, I'll take your comments off the air."

Luckily Mat Latos will be pitching tomorrow and Corey Luebke will make his Major League Debut on Friday.

Giants beat the Rockies so now the Padres hold a 4 game lead in the NL West.

There's no denying it, our opponents are resting their balls on our chins and brushing our teeth with their dicks.

Go Padres!

Wade LeBlanc and Kevin Correia cannot be anywhere near the PR

cannot be anywhere near the Pitching Rotation. Neither one can be trusted at this stage.
And I hope to God, CY comes back. I feel that we’re going to need him, before this is over.

through the season, have proven they are a much better team than how they’ve played up until now, and it’s fucking frustrating to see us play this badly.

This losing streak is like staring into The Great Black Hole of Suck.

It consumed all and all I could see was The Suck. Yet tonight is different, they lost, but The Suck is gone. Leaving but one thing: The World Series. Yes, The World Series. They are going roll The Rockies this weekend (with me in attendance) and not look back.

Why was he given the wrong catcher. Why in the first game vs the Phillies after Latos left and they had men on why did we not bring in Heath to finish the eighth and 9th. In big games you play STRONG. playing Wade on the road at night is far from playing strong,

Also, the idea that the catcher significantly affects pitcher performance

Is crap, especially in our case where Nick has been with this pitching staff a long time and knows what the hell he’s doing.

Mat Latos is the ultimate slump buster

If you think about the slump though, I think it’s just a bad case of the ratation being at the wrong spot at the wrong time.

If LeBlanc and Correia face Philly, it’s still two losses but I would imagine thatRichard and Garland would have faced the Dbacks the last two days, we would be in a much better position to win, ie not give up leads.

I think the slump is broken tonight due to the fact that we’re to the “top” of the rotation. Hopefully CY can make his return and Leubke can be more effective than Correia and LeBlanc. I have faith in Garland and Richard.

Not sure if any of that made sense but it’s early.

He gave up a solo HR and a few hits and maybe another earned run, I forget. Not too bad though, I guess the HR isn’t a huge deal because the ball flies easily in Reno.
